Golden Bug's 'Assassin'
Got a little message from our friend Gennaro over at La Tebwa repping Bang Gang and news of Golden Bug's 'Assassin EP that came out about a week ago now on Bang Gang. Here are 2 excerpts, for you. 'Assassin' is a crunked out soundtrackey downtempo number with stretched out vox and lazy flows. 'Last Dance In Tokyo' is more of what I am used to for the Golden Bug sound with the funky touches and old dusty production style. .

Reason #1 Why I Love Having A Blog
People Send Me Lovely Things Like This:
We won't talk about the future, today. There'll be time. We'll talk about music.
Music. Music is the thing we turn around, we always talk about.
How many words. But is there enough music?
Take our artist Golden Bug, for example. After his memorable singles and killer album "Hot Robot" on Gomma Records last year, after his club destroyer "Barbie's back" whose remix 12" is out now, our Bug visits chez Kitsuné with a remix for their new artist Delphic, and releases a new 12"inches on Bang Gang ("Assassin"), comin' out October 2009.
He's done a remix for G.L.O.V.E.S.'s P.Y.X.
No words for today. No future for today. Just take it. And share it.
DL : G.L.O.V.E.S. - P.Y.X. (Golden Bug remix) .
His live show is no words. Just music. Just take it. And share it.
DL : Golden Bug Live In Kiev
Big Thanks to Gennaro La Tewba
P.S. I had this before they sent it to me but didn't want to post outta respect.

Love Bug
Thanx to the Radarmaker crew for sending us this remix by the Golden Bug of Delphic's brilliant new single 'This Momentary'. I have been loving the minimalist leanings of the Manchester trio ever since they signed to R+S records. Be sure to look for Delphic when they tour which should be alot in 0'10 because they recently signed with Modular records. They also sent us the new video for this their second single to be released on Kitsune on the 29 of August. which was filmed in Chernobyl containing some stunning photography for the original by Dave Ma.

Golden Bug - Look Look Look
The Legend Of Zelda is one of the best in RPG style games in history. Simple but challenging tasks and a great physics engine(Wii version). I remember in 'Twilight Princess' where you had to find the Golden Bugs for the lady herself Zelda. I'm sure we all remember the track 'Bisco' from Paris/Barca's Golden Bug. Breathy vocals and steady rock house beat that moved me in that background soundtrack way, effecting my subconscious before it smokes your temporal lobes. The first time I ever heard of Gomma was when the famous graffiti and performance artist Rammellzee released his one and only record for the label when no American label wouldn't touch it. Now sharing the task of intelligent funky Nu Disco house is the creative forces of Headman, Diskokaine, Whomadewho, Munk and o course Golden Bug (aka Antoine Harispuru)
[residentadvisor]Golden Bug is a nasty little project of Antoine Harispuru produced on Gomma records(www.gomma.de). He's one half of Silicon Boogie and one part of the Silicon Square
Garden family(who also houses Playgroup,Play Paul,Rovedogs and Silicon Boogie). Golden Bug brings some banging Club Funk,Nu-Disco with robotic vocals, cut up fervently like powder on a glass table at Studio 54. Mixing dark italo basslines, crisp synthesizers and electrobeats.as well as some well-placed freakin'Prince-like vocals he creats a very personal and effective sound.
Based in Paris, Golden bug, often plays in clubs like Le Paris Paris, La Fleche D'or, Le Showcase and also in European clubs like Suxul (Ingolstadt), Mono(Warsaw), Die Registratur(Munchen), Fellini, City Hall, Terrassa(Barcelona), Nasti(Madrid)etc..

Well its Sunday again and as I get ready to get back on the Monday workhorse I need a little inspiration. The tracks that are here for your pleasure represent whats not made it to post but merits some focused attention.

First up is vitaminsforyou from Toronto. Electronic pop producer Bryce Kushnier has been creating ambient and IDM for 10 years now and he is finally getting the recognition deserved of this dedicated live perfomance man turned dancefloor wrecker. vitaminsforyou is set to play at our Jazz Festival in Winnipeg on the 26th of June and I am chuffed. Besides seeing V4Y I get to see Shout Out Out Out Out. Sweet.
First up we have the Jokers Of The Scene remix of 'Flesh Python' as well as the kickass original.
vitaminsforyou - Flesh Python(original)

Next up we have yet another fiery remix by Ottawa's J.O.T.S. with the track 'Searching Flesh' by Dandi Wind. Dandi Wind have an eerie electronic goth feel and when they get the bass support from the Jokers the styles collide perfectly. Check it.

Munich producer John Starlight released this one a a couple a weeks ago on Kompakt. Ever since 'John's Addiction' John has had the ability to rock a party minimally which is no easy feat. This one sided EP however brings the sound to the front and amps it upwards with great results. Not since Boys Noize remixed 'Shadowbreaker' have I been in such musical bliss. Check out the Zombie Nation's John Starlight when he brings the mayhem to his Fabric London date on May 16th. Why have I not moved to the UK I'll never know.
John Starlight - Road Rage(original)
The lineup is as follows:
Room One: KILL 'EM ALL Zombie Nation (Live) Brodinski Filthy Dukes Cadence Weapon (Live) Autokratz (Live) Stopmakingme! Visuals by Saam TV | Room Two: DEADLY Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem) The Touch (Live) Disco Bloodbath DJs Jim Stanton (Horsemeat Disco) Nadia Ksaiba | Room Three: ADVENTURES CLOSE TO HOME Paul "Phones" Epworth Pase Rock Adventures Close to Home DJs Dekker Mumdance |

Kraak and Smaak from the Lowlands are back with their patented brand of funk. Ben Westbeech is back to provide the requisite R+B cred, and with his help they have made a radio funk classic. To notch things up a level Trevor Loveys drops the housed up electro bounce remix while A Skillz re pops the effort into a hybridized funk rap remix. Enjoy!
Kraak&Smaak-Squeeze Me(A-Skillzremix)

Dmitry Fyodorov is blowing minds and speakers with their death metal house style track titled 'Greetings D'.

Then we have the excellent 'Dog' by SebastiAn getting a re cut by German producer and remixer Choreo.
SebastiAn - Dog(Choreo remix)
To close out the week we have some fire from Golden Bug from the Gomma record label. 'Bisco' is the newest from the Bug,
Golden Bug - Bisco
..and last but never least we also have a smoker from Australia's Pendulum called 'Propane Nightmares' with a naughty remix by Van She Tech.
