Monday Mini Playlist
It's time for another mini Monday playmix featuring some minimal, some house, and a dash of techno. First up to start the week off is a producer from Berlin named David Keno. I recently discovered Keno's work due to him being playlisted by Renaissance Man awhile ago and I can see why they would choose to drop cut's of his. The track that is blowing up floors across the globe right now is definitely the A-side 'Upside Down' but for me 'Wait For More' has me doing exactly that. (IMAGES - depotVisuals)

Next is some atmospheric dub techno from Greek producer Fluxion. Round pads and dreamy synths lull you into a serene mindscape as you delve into the Perfused EP that also comes with another original called 'Wabbler'. Its a track full of pure dub reggae enveloped in warm muted tones and vocal snippets. There is also a Deadbeat remix which gets into darker domains but still manages to be light as a feather.
Perfused means (to coat or permeate with liquid, color, or light)

You know we love Gomma to death here so I though why not feature some new Gomma with a veteren producer Ian Pooley workin alongside one of the labels up and coming engineers. Besides the 'Hit Me' EP featured here Telonius also has the new 'Disco Tec' EP on Gomma with remixes from Zombie Nation and Moullinex. (*(HUUUUUGE)

I originally got this for the Redshape remix (which is dope) but fell in love with the Soma'fied recut of this Black Dog track by the Scots. It has a swinging groove and chunky slap funk bassline to pair ingeniously with the dark and brooding overtones of the original.

Ovum records broke some of the leading techno artists in the 90's like Josh Wink and Ritchie Hawtin and its no wonder that both of those DJ's have been seen playing this track from Kink in their most recent sets. Released on Ovum this month the 'Rachel' EP has a bit of everything with the track below having a builders mentality with its start and stop clappy percussion. Whereas the the second track 'Existence' would fit seamlessly into the repertoire of Derrick Carter and the third track has a slightly 909 groove box finish that has flashes of distant melodies and spaces the end of the EP into a giant echo warehouse. .
