RV 4 VR
One of Winnipeg's original fathers of alternative pop selections has created a spectacular mix that showcases what Rob V and indeed what Winnipeg is all about. In a city that has some of the most inhospitable winters Rob cut together a cloth of both new and old tracks that will warm your indie electro heart. From classic Bryan Ferry, ABBA, and Pete Townsend to the new schoolers like Still Going, Jackpot and Nite Jewel we see him bridge the gap and create a mix that freezes time into a snapshot of nightlife that most bars would be afraid to promote because of its anti hipster tracklist. Not just content to DJ the cities parties Mr Vilar has also been working hard with the project Triunfo do Gato. They had their first show on Friday the 13th past (which I missed!) but I heard it was the absolute truth so be on the lookout for new dates and we'll keep you all posted.
Catch Rob and other at the Launch Party for "1234V ISSUE 3" today- READINGS, MUSIC, and bomb dropping for dancing V tonight. Lo Pub 10pm AND also HERE
