Having been blogged here before as well as many of the most established pages on the web you are certainly no strangers to the Parisian producer Das Glow. Along with Surkin and Bobmo, Das Glow helped to carve out Institubes' vision for serious techno productions.

His sounds are foremost french but at times you hear pieces of the cold Siberian minimal electro ('Sunburnt') a la The Proxy who we have for you next incidentally. 'I Wanna Wake Up With You' is foggy understated house medley that may or may not invoke images of cuddling with your lover.

As promised its two of the biggest names from the Turbo records roster getting all up in each others business. 'What You Need' is quite a monster to want to tinker with but The Proxy are well adept at whipping a remix into submission. This ones been used in the Proxy Army Arsenal for about a month now and the teasers are over.

P.S. - I made a pact with myself recently to try and post more housey and poppy stuff but when metal like this is around I can't help myself.

DL : Tiga - What You Need (The Proxy remix)

Tiga makes his home in Montreal and so do My Favorite Robot which is my next piece of music news from the land of poutine and Saputo. 'All My Circuits' was brought to my attention via the TSUGI compilation series which always has their fingers on the pulse of hype. 'Modest Goddess' is their latest and continues the theme of dark harmonic bassline and spooky vocals that smear black goth makeup all over the dancefloor here.

The Young Lovers aka Herve aka The Count aka Voodoo Chili aka Action Man, born Joshua Harvey...Mixes up swing time jazz, flamenco guitars and cool summer vibes on the LP which is his first outing under his chilled out alter ego. It couldn't be further from his Herve productions and its great. 'Love You Madly' blew my mind when it was released and now to see this full length come to fruition just exemplifies the modern professional that is Joshua Harvey.

Herve's myspace "please go and check it out an buy it if you like .....its been a labour of love...its more for headphones and holidays than banging clubs but everyone seems to love it!"

I love BNR and The Faint have been getting a single a month it seems from the German techno label. Here we have the 'Mirror Error' EP and Strip Steve and Das Glow w/ Boys Noize do edits of the title track, while Djedjotronic remixes 'Machine In the Ghost' into a Crookersish sounding windup and finally, Tensnake has a remix and dub cut of 'The Battlehymn For Children' track. The Strip Steve cut is the tech disco that we all associate with the young french master. Pure Bangalter circa Roule records 1998.

DL : The Faint - Mirror Error (Strip Steve remix) .

Something else dope that was sent to us this week was the new full length by El Michels Affair. El Michels Affair hail from New York and have stprmed back with this slick and organised jazz retouch of the WU classics. In my opinion you should not question this just auto download. Once you have heard the Wu Tang Clan this way you'll be rapping along in no time to the funky soul remixes of the Rza and company.

Heres a little BIO>

Led by saxophonist/organist Leon Michels and producer/engineer Jeff Silverman, El Michels Affair began as a loose collaboration of session musicians (including members of top-selling acts Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, The Budos Band, and Antibalas) that looked to blend some of the vibrant quality of soundtrack records with the recording aesthetic of early reggae, and the rawness of 60’s rock–they called it ‘Cinematic Soul.’

This DFA track doesn't exactly fit in with the rest of the music in this post but it is electronic. I dare say that most DFA releases are wierder than the majority of the stuff I put up but once the hit HITS I have to play it out. Capracara's 'King Of The Witches' brings in the influences of African rhythms and synthesizes them to perfection. Sparse enough to appreciate the nuances of the production and still has enough kick and punch from the over layed sonic imagery to make me wanna groove.

DL : Capracara - King Of The Witches (original mix)

Bonus Material:
DL : Shazam - Luckier (Hey Today! remix)
DL : Futuristic Fly - Futuristic Fly (original mix)
