Sunday Post
Sunday afternoon and its closing time on our week here at voulesrandom. Some semi cool news for us this week was our Blogger Feature interview in the online music mag Record Of The Day. Nothing to fancy just a 30 questions. 30 answers. Here's the PDF so you can all get a gander.

Also, I was looking at my friends sub culture calendar over at SubCal.ca and I saw a couple of cool shows for Peg City on the horizon with the likes of Nomeansno, Sebastian Grainger and The Mountains and Designer Drugs! Should be some fun there so get yer tickets early especially for the second show that had to be added for Nomeansno. (IMAGES - NOEL KERNS)
First up is the smooth artistic funkiness from Lisbon's Vulture. Rolling organ keys and boom clappin bass that has a Ibiza hip hop vibe. Layered over top is sunny vocals and cheering groovy jam band meets Justice bass riff. So dope.
DL : Vulture - Synthptom Du Coeur
Toronto's Deadmau5 strikes again another strong unreleased gem. How this guy keep pumping out the monster electr prog is beyond me. 'Catbread' sees 'mau5 dropping something more like his remixes than his originals and for once he has nailed it. Some of his originals are far too sparse and limited to a tech house repeat whereas here the breakdowns are quick and show a willingness to lighten up tracks with some proper wonk without smashing your cranium.
DL : Deadmau5 - Catbread (original mix)
Two of Britain's busiest producers and DJ are Foamo and CAGEDBABY. Foamo has been named the One To Watch in 09 by both NME and iDJ magazine and CAGEDBABY has been on everyones radar since 06 with the release of his hugely successful full length 'Will See You Now' from Southern Fried records.
DL : CAGEDBABY - Forced (Foamo remix) .
Felix Cartal opens up some new doors for the electroclash/house genre with this new one for Colin Munroe. In this all Canadian affair Felix doesn't get bogged down by labels or styles here bucking the trend and housing up his electro productions rather than applying harsh tones. Well done. (192 kbps)
DL : Colin Munroe - Piano Lessons (Felix Cartal remix)
Curses! recently got levelled by Bart B More and here again the Dutch phenom has done us proud by bringing that big room sensibility to everything he touches. This one was released in February but had only had the rework from Riva Starr so I was more than pleased with the update here.
DL : L.B.G. - As Good As My Love (Bart B More remix) .
Sent to us in the knick of time for the Sunday Post this week was something new from South Carolina producer Toro Y Moi. The EP for 'Left Alone At Night' has greatness through out with remixes from Pink Skull, Dave Allison, Tom Lown, Drop The Lime and Afro Digi Scratch. Also as a footnote this Drop The Lime remix was ripped and tagged wrong on Hypem aas Drop The Time. Don't blame me its itunes.
DL : Toro Y Moi - Left Alone At Night (Pink Skull remix)

Electro pop comes next with new blood for Mute records and UK artist Polly Scattergood. Blogbuster producers The Golden Filter do what they do best and attack the speakers with sparkling lines and metallic synths.
DL : Polly Scattergood - Please Don't Touch (The Golden Filter remix) .
Airys is pure italian electro pop. It's italo, it's funky and it's inspired by Lucio Battisti (one of the most important italian songwriters in his career has been ridefining the standards of italian popular music) and Crydamoure. It features Syria, a very popular italian artist that fell in love with the recent electro movement, behind the knobs a very young production team from milan formed by Giulio Calvino and Sergio Maggioni already members of an euro-touring garage-wave band called Hot Gossip.
DL : Airys - Tueto Quello Che Hai (Nima Tahmasebi A.K.A. NT89 remix)
Bonus Material:
DL : Kissy Sell Out - This Kiss (Jack Beats remix)
DL : Metric - Gimme Sympathy (acoustic version)
DL : Naive New Beaters - Get Love (Blamma! Blamma! Sister Lisa remix)
