Magik Johnson - Stick Em
Something new for us all to check out is the new 'Stick Em' EP from Southern Fried Records that was released last week. New Zealand's Magik Johnson is switching up his style once again and getting a huge shot in the arm from producer du jour Jesse Rose. There are two cuts of the track 'Butterfly Kisses' one being smooth and deep house and the other (dub) is a cracked and shifty.
The Jesse Rose edit is of 'Move' and its trademark Jesse with a smart beefy bassline and undercover melodies. The track we have today is the piece of dancefloor mania that is 'Stick Em'. A driving banger that has a rasta vocal and spanish fiesta melody. At 3 minutes we get a crusty breakdown with analogue icing to complete the electro-tech.

Hey mate Magik J is originally from the UK and now based in New Zealand! He is most certainly not Australian!!
My bad....like always I confuse the Aussie with the Kiwi....I'm sure they love that.
