Sunday Post
Sunday wrap up number what ever the fuck it is. Every Sunday for over a year now I have tried my best to keep you up on whatever's cool in music every day. Sadly, as much effort is expended on this monumental task I can never truly keep up. Between official releases and those of the up and coming new producers our inbox gets a workout. First up is beautifully created R+B stomper with a the b-more sharpened bassline from Blaqstarr and produced by Floridian crunk master Diplo. How in the hell did I not see this one when it came out late last year. I guess it has to do with my recent Diplo investigations. Ever since the Dance Area - AA 24 7 track I have been eating up anything Diplo. He was supposed to have a date in Winnipeg in 08 but nothing ever materialized. I hope we can correct that in 09.

I was happy to hear the brand new Pet Shop Boys this week. The single will get some play on BBC this Monday morning and the single will be released on March 16th with remixes by Gui Boratto, Kurd Maverick, FrankMusik and their own Pet Shop edit. All of the Pet Shop hallmarks are here. Soaring harmonized vocals with cool synths and breezy melodies.
DL : Pet Shop Boys - Love etc.. .
What happens when Italy's Supabeatz and France's Mikix the Cat hookup for a rendezvous. What you get is the best of both house worlds. The fidgety vocal stab is all italiano while the beats and overall mastering are pure classic french technique.
DL : Supabeatz feat. Ninfa - No More Down (Mikix the Cat remix) .
Sent to us this week was a new first track from a new name to the voulesrandom crew. Verdis is a DJ/producer from L.A. / San Fran who is a music technology major and it shows. Working with a death metal artist by the name of Phlegethon seems to have paid huge dividends. It has a feel not unlike electro giants Justice but it never steals the approach of the french duo. This is an American rock track with electro blood pumping through its veins.
DL : Verdis - Knives feat. Phlegethon
NYC's Heloise and the Savoir Faire get the dark and filthy remix from Londons Filthy Dukes. Heloise and the Savoir Faire's 'Illusions' is a tight remix ep getting two spangly edits by the Dukes and the success team behind Sam Sparro's huge 'Black and Gold' empire Modus Vivendi.
The new single from the Filthy Dukes is called 'This Rhythm' and will be released on March 9th with remixes by Toddla T, Fred Falke, Kill Em All, and my favorites Emperor Machine.

Something I grew up with in early house and rave was the ever present DJ Sneak. Here he is back with a remix by Josh Harvey aka Herve which sounds more like one of his side projects rather than a track with now famous moniker. The remix seems harder than previous edits by the prolific DJ/writer/musician/ and label owner.
DL : DJ Sneak feat. Kid Infinity - Droppin Kisses (Herve radio edit)
Just a bonus for you to round out the week with some new Dolby Anol. Also featured on this new ep are remixes by AC Slater, Kid 606, and voulesrandom regular Shadowdancer.
DL : Dolby Anol - Heather I'm Dry (Anol edit)
Bonus:
DL : Lifelike - Sunset
DL : Munk - The Rat Race (Siriusmo remix)
DL : Milosh - Awful Game (Troublemaker remix)
