Starting off the weekend wrap up is something new that was kindly dropped in our inbox yesterday and its so tasty that I had to feature it as soon as possible. Sicknote are from Cardiff and with the remake of the single for Tantrum records called 'Phone In Sick' they execute a perfect indie funk masterpiece. We have the re-rub from bandmate Flapsandwich that drops even more underbelly to make this track one I will definitely have to play in the near future. Other great names in the band are Doghouse, The Filth, Dr Conker, and P&O.(Images Ben Tour)

Ohio's Love Between Equals continues the indie vocal house vibe that Sicknote started. This one sounds like a Les Petits Pilous track cut together with an electro Vincent Price vocal snippet leaning off tons of Italian sounding bass kick. I would love to check the live show of this dude from the mid west. I normally think of Guided By Voices when I think of Ohio but that's all changed now.

To transition from the housey to the techy is my objective with new stuff from Kidz On Glue. They hail from France which is by no means a surprise to anyone including me. They manage however to sound like nothing else in France at the moment, which is a big accomplishment seeings how much there is to listen to. They actually hail from the exact place in France which always tops my analytic Stat Counter that being the city of Rennes. For whatever reason they always outnumber every other city in the world for the amount of visits per year last year. Must be something in the water!
