stadTkind or lebatman - You Choose!

We come across so many great things as a result of this page. Its not even fair to be honest. So many artists wearing their musical hearts on their sleeves for all the world to see. Confident enough to share what they have created knowing it will rock dance floors. One such up and comer is stadTkind a.k.a Lebatman. I was so confused when the Milan producer sent us some tracks via soundcloud because some of the songs where labeled as stadtkind and some as lebatman. I guess well have to clear that up later. Either way the music is straight up house in the french style with interesting samples from movies that range from foreign films to Point Break with Keanu Reeves. Brilliant! I took the opportunity to get the skinny on the new house creator by getting a quick bio via myspace messenger>>>>>

Well, about me: I am 24 years old and it's been about nine or ten years since I started producing electronic music, earlier on my music was more ambient/experimental oriented. Recently in the last few months I have moved to house music. I use only my laptop and since I am a music collector, I have tons of samples to use. I have listened to any kind of musical genre in my life, from punk to jazz through italo disco. My musical style as you can hear is mainly influenced by some french house producers, from le knight club to alan braxe, with some funk taste here and there.

Since I am also a cinema addict (and in my daylife I am a Filmology student, working on my final thesis) I have often use some samples from old movies, to include a taste of "cinema" in my tracks; maybe together with some literary suggestions. For example in "La maitresse aux yeux d'or" you can hear a sample from the movie Maitresse by Barbet Schroeder, and the title is a tribute to a novel by Balzac.

Ok i'm not always that boring lol :D

Hopefully at the beginning of the next year i'll start some live sets, cause for the moment i am still only a producer! I'm really happy of how things are going, it's only four months I am on myspace and I already got many messages from djs asking me collaborations, tracks to play and remixes.
