Bullshit Traditions

Today is Thanksgiving in Canada and as per tradition most people sit around and stuff themselves with Turkey and the nationalist jingoism that is the CFL/NFL. Truth is most of us fail to remember the true meaning of the Thanksgiving ethos. Europeans came to North America and the Caribbean to enslave and torture the all native inhabitants equally. From the Incas to the Native Americans all the way to Canadian Aboriginals we brought Conquest, War, Famine, and Death. And although Death is the only one of the Four Horseman mentioned in the bible we Europeans made all remaining riders a reality in the 'New World'.

So I give thanks for those people who opened their hearts to original Mayflower people only to be strung up and killed like Buffalo a year later when the winters ended an the Settlers took their "rightful" places at the top of the Human Hierarchy. I can ruin any holiday with a history lesson.
