The Sunday Post

Lots of great things happening with the page lately as we are finishing up some new interviews, Voules is set to drop another mix (I have no idea of the tracklist but it will be lava), I am also working on getting VoulesRandom onto a popular net radio page (which shall remain nameless for now) but more about that later. Either way stay tuned as more shows have been added to Winnipeg's winter months. Next big stuff of course is Mstrkrft @ EEC w. Felix Cartal on Oct4, Treasure Fingers will play @ Hi Fi Club on Oct 10, and Hi Fi will also host Kill The Noise a couple of weeks later on the 25th.(all illustrations - digitalsystm/Halftone Series)


First up for the wrap up is Herve's brilliant ghettohouse side project Action Man. Not to be missed as these tracks from his alter ego are always more clubbed up rave than the usual tube roller dark sounds that are employed on his originals.

Alfa has been a point of interest for me ever since his amazing 1st place fetching remix of Crypronites 'Can't Give You Up'. Here he gets the edit from Hamburg's FutureFlashs with a moody and deep remix that moves you with thick 4/4's and smooth synths. Up next is German electro pop outfit Egotronic getting reworked by Saint Pauli. Saint Pauli have a sound I can pick out of the air when I hear it live at the club. Their big anthemic bottom ends are continuous throughout all of the brilliant remixes they have completed. Pure and Complete.

Aston Shuffle have been doing some of my favorites this past year with Pnau and Terry Poison remixes and they are at it again with the positive house vibe as usual. Tight is the word when it comes to the Aston Shuffle style. Fast breakey beats and loaded synth pieces and frenetic over layed percussion stabs.

Finally this week I picked up the the 'Repetition Kills You' remixes and b-side called 'Blue Sky Thinking' which is a nice neo soul electro pop masterpiece from the super fresh Black Ghosts. As well we have the remix from Phones. Sooo amazing.
