Audio Bullys Remixes + New Tiger Stripes
After releasing Ego War in 2003 Audio Bullys solidified their already rock steady DJ sets into a mix of punk, hip hop, garage house covered in slick beats and samples. Then the sophomore jinx plus listening to label suits at Virgin records destroyed the creativity on 'Generation'.
'Flickery Vision' is what that happens when you've stayed up too late. The remixes are new hotness so check em out. The Tim Green mix is a weird echoic tom drum filtered with the repeato vocal 'stay awake' leading into the underworldesque delivery for the main vocals. Nice pace and upbeat darkness present on this affair. The Jamie and Deepgrooves is more of quirky bouncer that carries a complex buzzy bassline and horn compression front that is tech house magic.P.S. The breakdown on this track will fuck up your mind and smash your ablitity to find rhythm if you are on the dance floor. Grind you to a halt.

Also I have a nice little intelli house number from Stockholm's Tiger Stripes. Get Physical records has great vision when they support release like the 'Blackroom Entertainment' EP. With the popular style being that of total and complete instantaneous gratification its nice to see an artist take his time and really build the foundations.
[myspace]Mikael Nordgren is Tiger Stripes, and the first time you may have seen his alias ‘Tiger Stripes’ though was in 2004 when he released the afro-tastic piano driven house stomper ‘Dingo’, on Slip’N’Slide and after that followed releases on top quality labels around the world, like Ibadan, Get Physical, Liebe Detail, King Street/Nitegrooves, Slip’N’Slide and his sound has been gradually developing since then. He is releasing his first studio album for King Street this winter, following a few select 12” releases earlier this year. Alongside of this he’s also been running one of the most respected club nights in Stockholm, Go Bang!, where the only invite the best and most prolific DJs and live acts to play, including Claude VonStroke, François K, Osunlade, Jerome Sydenham, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Dixon, Dj Gregory, Lindstrom & Âme to mention just a few.
