First up for the weeks end in music is a newish release from the U.K.'s Riva Starr. In less than one year Riva Starr has become one of the most talked about House artists thanks to a flurry of killer releases that began with the 'Thizzle'/'China Gum' 12" for Jesse Rose's Frontroom Recordings.
He followed this up with the "Scratch'n'Itch" ep for the FatBoySlim imprint Southern Fried and with the 'Bubble' and 'La Conga' EP's for Claude Vonstroke's Dirtybird Label, and the latter reaching the Top Ten in the Beatport Tech House chart and Top Fifteen in the Global Chart.

I love The Japanese Popstars so I figured why not throw down the track 'Rise Of Ulysses' to alert you good folks to buy the 'We Just Are' EP from the technically Irish popstars.

Next up from Seamless records is Physics with a deep house groove titled 'Hold On' feat Bianca Hutchinson. They are known for their Swedish touch Nu Jazz club music that borders the funky ambient. On the remix is Scope Luxurious who I could not identify except to say that their sound is measured natural house. Almost has an Ibiza track feel but without all the mysterious stickiness and sand.

DL : Nicola Fasano vs Pat Rich - 75 Brazil Street (Fish and Chips remix)
Dekker and Johan produce a dark disco feel here with 'Brooklyn'. Those familiar with the Old Queens Head in Islington may know the man from his Apocalypso night there where he's been laying a solid DJ foundation paving the way for some great original material.DL : Dekker and Johan - Brooklyn
The Disco Villains sent us a folder full of goodness this week so it's only right to share the cream of crop here with a lovely four pack of straightforward electrohouse bangbang.
jajajajaja The Disco Villains, Disco Williams, Bisco Villains, Villanos del Norte, Los Villanos Biscos, Los Disco Handjobs(cheers suz).. or whatever the fudge u wanna call them, were formed by a big named TV enterprise in a show called Hispano American Idol.. the trials were really tough and the judges were pretty rough(imagine a hispanic Simon Cowell but with teardrop tats and a different colored bandana everyday).. anyways.. it was hard, but after duke-ing it out with gazillions of contestants, they reached the top 12.. from the southernmost part of san diego came the flashiest mutha the galaxy has ever seen..THE DISCO VILLAINS were born.. with an "arsenal of beats"(inside joke), Pseudo-Semi-Producer LouieFresco, LouieFresh, Last Nite's Louie, etc.. came to bring home the bacon.. with hard-ass bangin' drums mixed with his trademark Nasty Oscillator, raw metal guitars, early nineties acapellas and a mix of Jack Daniels.. he delivered them to former DJ Empire, now Tony Edit, so he could mix them up on their beat-up cdjs-800 mk1, while Mr. Louie could pretend to be mixing behind the turntables, when actually the only thing he would be mixing was large amounts of alcohol and nicotine.. the peeps totally ate that shit up.. with remixed(more like REMAKED) bangers from Gillette's SHORT DICK MAN, 2 Live Crew's FACE DOWN ASS UP, NIN's HAND THAT FEEDS.. to Hillary Duff's WITH LOVE.. THE DISCO VILLAINS promise to be at least a bit more famous than Lou Bega(mambo no. 5 anyone?).. with just 1 gig(and the lovely peeps of DMG, MOSHI MOSHI, TONY TEE MANAGEMENT, RAWKERS, DESIERTO URBANO, STANLEY+COLORS, GORDO PRODUCTIONS[never wins at rock, paper, scissors],etc.), The Disco Villains have been able to soon play head-to-head with big names such as Nortec, The Bloody Beetroots, Shark Attack, Paco Buggin and Heartsrevolution, among others.. so.. yeah.. they must be doing something good.. ajajjajaDL : Disco Villains - La Nuit Porte Conseil
DL : Disco Villains - Anthem
DL : Disco Villains - Face Down
DL : NIN - Hand That Feeds (Disco Villains remix)
Bonus : DL : Dizzie Rascal feat Calvin Harris and Chrome - dance Wiv Me (Niteryders remix)
DL : Estelle - No Subsitute Love (Treasure Fingers mix)
