Fear Of Music
It takes special people in music to have longevity. You have to have the ability as a young artist to make music that sounds futuristic which at the same time has to be familiar enough to be pigeonholed. During the end of 70's early 80's the Talking Heads made people question suburbs, fashionable consumption, and in general musically dropped out of the puritanical system which would try to govern them in every sphere of their existence.

Playing the Building, Battery Maritime Building, New York, NY, 2008
Before the eighties got into full swing with its excesses of hair, clothes, and puerile hyper materialism (hipsters?) Talking Heads were predicting the shit storm that eventually crested with Hammer Pants. David Byrne still remains at the forefront of music innovation having worked in recently with The BPA a.k.a. The Brighton Port Authority andX-Press 2 he always keeps it fresh moving seamlessly from genre to genre. Enjoy the remixes by Stanton Warriors and Mowgli.
