Hey yall, Sunday is supposedly the secular day of rest for most people of the world but in this writers case it has to be one of the busiest. I have recently been recruited by another blog (which shall remain nameless) and I am now splitting my time between both as best I can. So far so good. I promise to never neglect VR because this page is my one true outlet for everything musical. Having said that lets get to it first by featuring some of the hottest new sounds with the L.A. I remember going to shows back in the day with Freaky Flow on the wheels of steel dropping bombs from the jungle genre and seeing the main MC from the T-Dot Flipside rip the stage and audience in half with his delivery and style. After having parted ways with FF he has established himself as a solid house DJ and producer. Here Heavyfeet dirty's up an already smudged up electro house hip hopper.

Proxy Proxy Proxy ah man what to say....I love that fact they have no problem writing songs for what sounds like Tech Itch or Decoder from early tech n bass recordings and laying a standard 4/4 under it. Always electrically charged particles that make up their style. Also this 'Tenderoni' remix reminds of the MSTRKRFT remix but only in that I shit my pants when I heard it. Don't forget folks that Proxy has just finished a sweet remix of 'Homezone' by Digitalism and I'm sure that after it is released you wil see it here promptly so stay tuned for that.

Arriving in this week is also something new and something familiar. First is the Cowgum effort called 'Countryside' which is a quirky bouncey house track with a weird hillbilly vocal that makes fun of white trash trailer park pikers. "A crackhead there and speed freek there" funny for sure but this track is as serious as Amy Winehouse's emphysema. Heavy as fuck melody with dissonant warehouse choral vocals that sound like a war rally crowd of 5oooo. Christopher Just has been around forever and his experience rings true on this major rework. Also is the new remix from Chewy Chocolate Cookies of Busy P's Pedrophilia.
